Today we meet Emiliano Porcelli, one of the testimonials of Konus and Konustex that tell us a bit about his experience with the products which he got to test and he tells us about his way of hunting.
Hi Emiliano, can you tell us about how your passion for hunting was born?
My passion for hunting started as a child following in my father’s footsteps. I immediately fell in love with nature and everything that surrounds it. The aspect I like the most is having direct contact with one’s auxiliary.
What type of hunting do you do?
I practice three types of hunting.
My favourite is that of the woodcock, however it has become difficult due to the small amount of game. Despite this, I am more and more passionate about it.
I then practice the wild boar hunt obviously together with my beloved auxiliaries (french hounds ariegeois) and a few months ago I became a selector.
Last but not least, I practice the hunting of small migratory birds.
Why do you go hunting?
I go hunting to discover new hosts immersed in nature, I love walking in the woods, cross streams.
I am passionate about being able to see the behavior of animals up close and it is a constant challenge. Hunting relaxes me and it allows me to also participate in physical activity in continuous contact with nature. I like to spend whole days in the green together with the right adventure partner. Finally, I also practice hunting to protect the environment.
How did you get to know Konus company?
I met the Konus company years ago through a magazine. I was struck by the large amount of products it offered for both hunting and shooting. So I decided to contact her to test their products, remaining very satisfied and Today I am their testimonial.
Which Konus articles have you tried and how did you find them?
I was able to test two products from the Konus company: a selection optics and a thermal viewer. I am very satisfied with the products. The riflescope that I have chosen is an Absolute 5-40×56 which has all the characteristics useful to a hunter or shooter. The thermal monocular viewer, Flame, was a pleasant discovery as it allows you to observe the animals in their nocturnal behavior. A useful accessory for selection, where it is allowed, because it allows the animal to be hunted with greater precision.
And about the Konustex clothing line, what do you thing of the garments you tested?
The Konus company has launched a clothing line in recent years and I was able to test a winter suit consisting of a jacket and trousers. I am very satisfied with the product and the material suitable for all weather conditions as it is waterproof and very resistant.
Are there any other Konus or Konustex items you’d like to test in the future?
I would like to try other Konus products including a night riflescope, a batting optics and other Konustex clothing items such as vests, other suits and thermal clothing.
What is the advice you would give to those who want to approach the world of hunting?
The advice that I would like to give to those who want to approach the world of hunting is first of all to respect the environment especially the wild. I also recommed it to anyone who wants to discover nature in its infinite beauties and contribute to wildlife management.
